For several days now, large swathes of northeastern
China have been blanketed in thick layer of heavy smog.
And on this Thursday, the last day of 20-15, a cloud of fine dust will affect the Korean
Peninsula as northwesterly winds are forecast to carry the smog from China.
Therefore, air quality is likely to be bad across most of the country throughout the
day, including the west coast. So those of you planning to watch the last
sunset of the year in Korea are advised to take necessary precautions.
Weather authorities say strong winds will help disperse the smog from New Year’s Day.
